Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, son of Southeast Asia’s second-richest man Pham Nhat Vuong, is holding his wedding ceremony with Miss World Vietnam 2022 runner-up Nguyen Phuong Nhi at a private island resort off Nha Trang on Thursday evening.

A source told Ngoi Sao that the groom’s family booked their privately owned island, around an hour’s travel from Cam Ranh Airport, as the venue for the celebration. The island is home to a luxury resort with several five-star villas and a largely pristine natural setting, and has previously hosted private family events.

The wedding spans two days and is being conducted under tight security. Following the main reception on Thursday night, guests are expected to join a range of activities, including a sporting event. Most invitees arrived in Nha Trang on Wednesday, the source said.

The couple held their engagement ceremony in Phuong Nhi’s hometown of central Thanh Hoa province on Jan. 15, 2025. Since then, she has stepped away from show business, shut down her social media accounts, and kept a low public profile.

Nhi, 23, has made occasional appearances alongside her husband’s family at events organized by their conglomerate, Vingroup.

Nhi studied international commercial law at Hanoi Law University and speaks English and Spanish. In 2023 represented Vietnam at Miss International in Japan, finishing among the top 15.

Hoang is involved in managing several of the family’s business operations. He previously served as global marketing director of VinFast. His father, Vietnam’s richest billionaire, has an estimated net worth of US$28.6 billion as of Jan. 22, according to Forbes.
