Davina McCall was issued a warning by her husband Michael Douglas after she branded another star’s husband “gorgeous”. Davina and celebrity hairstylist Michael tied the knot in an intimate ceremony last month.

It came just three weeks after they got engaged during a trip to Ibiza. They said their vows in front of just 11 people at their self-build home in Kent.

Davina, who has overcome a brain tumour and breast cancer in recent years, described the ceremony as “very intimate and special”. Davina however received a warning from Michael on their Making the Cut podcast when she praised businesswoman Jo Malone’s husband Gary.

It came after Davina recently got into Jo’s brand Jo Love’s. She said: “Jo Love’s is an amazing brand and she is a brilliant founder and a visionary. I absolutely love that woman.

“I hadn’t deep-dived into that brand really and now I am obsessed. She’s had an amazing life and her husband is an absolutely gorgeous man.”

Michael replied: “Steady.” To which Davina added: “Not that gorgeous. Not as gorgeous as you, my husband.”

Elsewhere Davina revealed she has made a decision on what she plans to go by after her marriage. The pair discussed whether Davina would be changing her surname to Douglas after the ceremony.

She said: “I think, like in public, I am Davina McCall. I’ve always been Davina.”

In response Michael, 49, said: “Yeah. You’ve’ just happened to be my wife now.” After this, Davina replied: “Yeah, I’m going to stay like that.”

Davina described the couple’s wedding as the “best day of her life”, adding: "I’ve loved giving birth to my kids, but this was different. This was a different thing. A beautiful, very, very, small and intimate event. Very private.”

Michael added: "It was a brilliant day, wasn't it? Pretty private. We managed to keep it quite private."

Michael described 2025 as the “hardest year” as he opened up about Davina’s health struggles. He admitted: "I think I had the hardest year of my life last year. I think it was so hard. It broke me really. I would say by November, I was done."

"I just thought, 'I don't think I can recover from this.' And I cannot tell you how good I feel....It's the best I've felt for as long as I can remember."

Davina returns to screens tonight from 9pm with Long Lost Family on ITV One. Alongside co-star Nicky Campbell she will be trying to help a man track down his long-lost sister and a woman whose sister was put up for adoption when she was younger.

Speaking to Love TV, Davina said: “Sometimes with siblings, it’s quite hard and painful, because one sibling might have grown up with their birth family, while the other was placed for adoption. There’s a lot to unpack there, you know?”
