Karkala: Six arrested in police raid on cockfighting den in Nallur

Six persons were taken into custody after Karkala Rural Police raided an illegal cockfighting gambling den at Bangarodi in Nallur village.
Acting on credible information, PSI Sundar and his team conducted the raid and detained the accused identified as Ravi, Satish, Stephen, Adigappa, Appu, and Sandeep.
During the operation, police seized four roosters, ₹3,000 in cash, machetes, and furniture used for gambling. A Maruti Swift Dzire car found at the spot was also seized. The total value of the seized property is estimated at around ₹2.6 lakh.
A case has been registered at the Karkala Rural Police Station, and further legal proceedings are underway.
