The Sacramento Kings have signaled a willingness to listen on multiple veteran players as the trade market develops.
Among the names drawing interest are Domantas Sabonis, Keon Ellis, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine.
While Sabonis carries the most significant contract of the group, that has not deterred teams from exploring the possibility of acquiring the veteran center.
Several clubs have expressed interest in Sabonis, including the Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls.
For Chicago and Washington, the appeal lies in the ability to offer expiring contracts in return, potentially providing Sacramento with financial flexibility.
Phoenix, meanwhile, would need to construct a more complex salary-matching package to make a Sabonis deal viable.
Toronto continues to loom as a particularly intriguing option.
Any potential trade would likely include RJ Barrett, who was originally drafted by Kings general manager Scott Perry during his tenure with the New York Knicks.
From a financial standpoint, Sabonis is owed $42.3 million this season, followed by $45.5 million next year and $48.6 million in 2027/28.
Barrett is earning $27.7 million this season and is due $29.6 million next year, meaning Toronto would need to include at least one additional player to meet salary-matching requirements in any deal centered around Sabonis.
