IRCTC Hospitality Monitor Recruitment 2026: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has released a recruitment notification for the year 2026. Under this recruitment drive, eligible candidates will have the opportunity to participate in a direct interview for appointment to Hospitality Monitor positions on a contractual basis. IRCTC has announced a total of 43 vacancies for this post.
The initial contract period for candidates selected under the IRCTC Hospitality Monitor Recruitment 2026 will be two years, which may be extended by one year based on requirement and satisfactory performance.
Eligibility Criteria
Only candidates who have studied Hotel Management or Hospitality are eligible to apply for this recruitment. Those who have completed a B.Sc. (Hotel Management/Hospitality) from a government or recognized hotel management institute are eligible.
Additionally, those who have completed a BBA or MBA from an institution related to Culinary Arts (Cooking), or a B.Sc. or MBA in Hotel Management or Tourism from a recognized college/university, are also eligible to apply for this position. Candidates with work experience in the hotel, catering, or tourism industry will be given preference.
Merit List and Final Appointment
After the interview, a merit list of candidates will be prepared, and appointment offers will be issued in that order. A 100% reserve panel will also be created. The final appointment will be subject to the candidate being found medically fit. Selected candidates will have to deposit a security deposit of Rs. 25,000 through a demand draft before appointment.
Selection Process
Candidates are requested to fill out the application form attached to the notification correctly. The filled application form, along with all original documents, a set of attested copies of the required documents, and two recent passport-size photographs, must be submitted by the candidates at the interview venue for verification.
During the interview, candidates will undergo a personal interview. Selection will be based on the candidates' academic qualifications and performance in the interview. Salary and Allowances
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary (CTC) of ₹30,000. This amount includes all necessary government deductions. Candidates will also receive a daily allowance of ₹350 on duty days, based on the working hours.
If an overnight stay in another city is required during work, IRCTC will provide ₹240 per night for accommodation. In addition, allowances will be paid for working on national holidays. Candidates will also be provided with medical insurance, the cost of which will be reimbursed as per rules upon submission of the required documents.
