OPPO's next flagship is slowly coming into focus, and early signs suggest the company is experimenting with a more expressive design language this time.
New renders shared by SmartPrix, in collaboration with industry insider Yogesh Brar, offer a clearer look at what the OPPO Find X9 Ultra might look like. A Design That Doesn't Blend In The leaked renders and images highlight a dual-tone back panel that immediately sets the Find X9 Ultra apart from typical flagship designs. OPPO is said to be working on multiple finishes, including an all-black version, a vibrant orange variant, and an earthy brown dual-tone option. Beyond color, the materials themselves appear to vary. Alongside a classic all-glass model, some versions are expected to mix glass, metal, and faux leather. The two-part back panel design is one of the most noticeable elements, and it gives the phone a more textured, premium feel. The dual-tone variants, in particular, seem to borrow cues from retro point-and-shoot cameras, suggesting OPPO is intentionally leaning into a camera-inspired aesthetic. The Camera Module Is the Real Statement The most striking part of the design is the camera module. According to the leaked images, the circular camera housing spans almost the entire width of the phone and covers a large portion of the rear panel. It's unusually large by smartphone standards and makes the phone's priorities clear at first glance.
Leaks suggest the Find X9 Ultra could feature a 200MP Sony LYT-901 main sensor with an f/1.5 aperture, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide camera using Samsung's JN5 sensor. The telephoto setup reportedly includes a 200MP OmniVision sensor with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP Sony LYT600 sensor offering 10x optical zoom, enabling up to 13.2x optical zoom overall. On paper, this setup hints at a phone designed to push zoom and versatility rather than just incremental camera upgrades. Flagship Hardware, According to Leaks Beyond the camera hardware, the Find X9 Ultra is expected to come with a 6.82-inch 2K flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is said to be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. OPPO is also reportedly testing the phone with a large 7,300mAh battery.
As always, these details are based on leaks and should be treated cautiously until OPPO confirms them officially. Launch Timeline The Find X9 Ultra is expected to debut in China in early Q2, with a wider global rollout, including India, expected later in the year. Until OPPO makes it official, the device remains firmly in leak territory, but the direction it's taking is becoming harder to ignore.
