Heavy snow and strong winds are forecast for the New York, New Jersey and adjoining areas from early Sunday morning through Monday, which is likely to affect flight operations.

The airline said the decision was taken to ensure the safety, well-being and convenience of passengers and crew.

“In view of the safety, well-being and convenience of our passengers and crew, all Air India flights to and from New York and Newark have been cancelled on 25 and 26 January,” said the airline in an official statement.
