Lucknow, Read: CAL Yellow and CAL Purple registered spectacular victories in the league matches played on Friday in the first BA Naqvi Advocate Memorial Women’s Cricket Tournament.
In the first match played at Aryavrata Ground, CAL Purple gave the target of 136 runs for seven wickets to CAL Green. Priyanshi Yadav scored 26 runs. In reply, the green team was reduced to 81 runs. Tanya Singh took four wickets in four overs in Purple’s win.
In the second match, CAL Yellow defeated CAL Pink by nine runs and made it to the finals. Yellow team scored 129 runs, in which Ayushi and Priyanka played useful innings of 27 runs each. Pink’s team was out for 120 runs. Prisha Gupta’s two wickets and the contribution of Ayushi, Priyanka and other players were decisive in Yellow’s victory.
