Desk: Google is making photo editing more fun for users. A new feature called “Me Meme” will soon be added to Google Photos, allowing users to create personalized memes from their own photos. This feature will be based on generative AI, transforming photos into different meme templates. This feature could be very interesting for social media sharing and fun with friends.
Me Meme is a new generative AI feature in Google Photos that converts user-selected photos into meme format. It includes pre-existing popular meme templates that can be easily adapted. This means users can turn photos into funny memes in just a few clicks. Users can decide which photos to use and what type of meme to create. This feature will be part of existing Google AI tools like Create with AI, Remix, and Collage.
The Me Meme feature uses AI to recognize a user’s photo and set it within a specific meme layout. Users can then add text, captions, and other minor changes to make the meme feel more personal. Google says this feature will not automatically create memes without the user’s permission. The entire process remains under user control, ensuring privacy.
To use Me Meme, you’ll first need to update your Google Photos app. Users will then need to select a photo of their choice and select Create. The Meme option will appear, allowing you to choose a template or add your own design. Once you’ve added text and other changes, the meme will be ready and ready to share on social media or with friends.
Google has clarified that the Mi Meme feature is being rolled out step by step. So, if this feature isn’t immediately visible to all users, there’s no need to panic. The company also stated that the AI will only work on photos selected by the user. No meme will be automatically created without user initiative.
