Fans of The Masked Singer already think they have cracked it with the identity of one contestant. The ITV show sees celebs hidden under extravagant costumes as the judging panel and viewers at home have to use clues to guess who is behind the mask.

A new series kicked off on January 3, with five fresh characters taking to the stage. The guessing continued tonight, on Saturday January 24, as Joel Dommett introduced the remaining characters to the show. Up first was Toastie and fans were convinced that they knew who the voice belonged to. In their video tape before the performance, Toastie gave some clues. These included a picture of Dressed Crab, who turned out to be Gregory Porter on a past series, and a lot of kitchen references. The character then took to the stage to belt out a beautiful rendition of Benson Boone's Beautiful Things.

It was then time for the judging panel to share their guesses, after making note of every tiny clue. Jonathan Ross said it was an "excellent start to the show" before referring to the Gregory Porter clue.

He then referred to the kitchen clues as he joked: "I'm not thinking about Mary Berry." Instead, he suggested Michelle Heaton from Liberty X.

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards then suggested Beverley Knight as Maya Jama thought it might be Alexandra Burke. Mo Gilligan said that he thought the voice belonged to Chaka Khan and Davina McCall went for Marisha Wallace.

But fans at home thought that they were all completely wrong - with many suggesting that it could be Loose Women star Brenda Edwards.

One person said: "Yeh Toastie sounds like Brenda Edwards #TheMaskedSinger." Another echoed: "If toastie isn't Brenda thingymebob from Loose Women, then I'm bamboozled #TheMaskedSinger."

While one more added: "Convinced Cheese Toastie is Brenda Edwards #MaskedSinger #TheMaskedSinger." Someone else wrote: "I'm 100% convinced toastie is Brenda Edwards #TheMaskedSinger."

There was double the chance of fans finding out for sure this evening as the show aired a double unmasking.
