Sirsa gears up for 77th Republic Day celebrations

Ahead of the 77th Republic Day celebrations, a full-dress final rehearsal was held on Saturday at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium in Sirsa.
Revenue & Disaster Management Vipul Goyal will be the chief guest at the district-level function and will hoist the national flag at 10 am. Before the main ceremony, the chief guest will visit the Shaheed Smarak and Freedom Fighters' Memorial at the Mini-Secretariat to pay tribute.
During the rehearsal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Virendra Sahrawat inspected the march-past, while Superintendent of Police Deepak Saharan and ADC reviewed the parade. CTM Ajay Kumar examined arrangements and directed officials to ensure smooth conduct.
School and NCC contingents, led by ASP Shivam, IPS, performed the march-past, while students presented patriotic cultural programmes. Similar final rehearsals were also conducted at the sub-division level.
The celebrations will also honour families of martyrs and freedom fighters as well as distinguished individuals, institutions, officers and employees for their contributions.
