Ahead of Republic Day, Delhi Police has released a poster showing 6 terrorists. For the first time, a picture of a terrorist from Delhi has been shown in these posters.

This terrorist is Mohammad Rehan, who is associated with Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). Police and intelligence agencies have been searching for him for a long time. According to Delhi Police, Mohammad Rehan is a wanted terrorist.

Very strict security arrangements have been made in Delhi, especially on the duty route, for the 77th Republic Day on 26 January. This preparation has been done on the basis of information received from many intelligence agencies. CCTV cameras are installed in the entire area, in which advanced facial recognition technology (FRS) is being used. About 10,000 policemen will be on duty.

Snipers deployed on tall buildings

Many levels have been created for security. Anti-drone unit is keeping an eye from the air. Snipers are deployed on tall buildings. The hotel, guest house, tenants and domestic servants are being investigated. Pedestrians will be checked with metal detectors at least three times.

Additional Police Commissioner Devesh Kumar Mahala said, "Republic Day is celebrated at a fixed time and is organized on the duty line. Keeping this in view, a security standard protocol has been implemented. Around 10,000 policemen will be on duty. We have conducted 9 briefings and rehearsals on the ground."

Nearly 1,000 cameras installed in the control room

There are about 1,000 cameras installed in the control room. Through AI and FRS system, if any suspicious or person with criminal background is spotted, an immediate alert is received. Stolen or suspicious vehicles are also caught by cameras and immediate action is taken. Policemen are constantly monitoring everything so that Republic Day can be celebrated in a safe and peaceful manner.
