Drivers on the M1 are facing long delays after a three vehicle crash between J6 (St Albans) and J5 (Watford) on Sunday morning.
The motorway cameras website says: "All lanes are closed. Normal traffic conditions are expected between 09:00 and 09:15 on 25 January 2026."
Emergency services are in attendance, as well as National Highways. Diversion routes are in place. The official X account for the Beds, Cambs & Herts Road Policing Unit shared an update saying they are "currently on scene at a three-vehicle serious injury road traffic collision".
Traffic is being released using the hardshoulder. Recovery crews are en route, National Highways added. The Daily Express has contacted the police for more information.
