Even though every stage of Prince George's life has been planned since before he was born, he will have several important roles to play before he becomes King. Among these is a significant position currently held by his father, Prince William.

It is expected that when his father becomes King, Prince George will succeed him as the next Prince of Wales, and, as a result, become the next Duke of Cornwall.

This position comes with the inheritance of the vast Duchy of Cornwall Estate, spanning an impressive 135,000 acres. Despite the Royal Family's love of privacy, with many of their properties nestled within hundreds of acres, it may surprise some to learn that a location currently owned by Prince William is one of Britain's most renowned party towns.

While King Charles's Poundbury Estate is the most well-known Duchy development, the Nansledan Estate in Cornwall has been built with similar values and is situated in an area well-known for its party scene.

As with many private estates, strict rules apply, including prohibitions on visible washing lines or bins and restrictions on individual satellite dish installations. The estate is located in Newquay, a Cornish town known as one of Britain's top party destinations and a popular choice for stag dos and hen parties.

Newquay was listed as the seventh most popular destination for stag dos in the UK in 2018, according to CornwallLive, thanks to its bustling bars and restaurants, not to mention the affordable beer prices.

The land is owned by The Duchy of Cornwall, meaning Prince William owns several properties in the town.

The Nansledan Estate could take up to four decades to complete, and residents will have to adhere to a few key rules. These include avoiding unnecessary noise, loud arguments or door slamming. The website states: "Development should enhance the quality of life, strengthen the bonds of community and place, and give people a sense of pride in where they live.

"Buildings should look as if they belong in the landscape, drawing on regional traditional styles, where the use of local materials and craftsmanship is vital to the aesthetic and the local economy. Nansledan embodies these timeless principles that have created enduring communities across Britain."

The Duchy of Cornwall is a private estate established by King Edward III in 1337 for his son, Prince Edward, the 'Black Prince'. A charter at the time decreed that each future Duke of Cornwall would be the eldest surviving son of the monarch and the heir to the throne.
