New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate programmes (CUET PG) 2026 online application process today, January 20. Candidates seeking admission to postgraduate courses in central universities, state universities and other participating institutions must complete the CUET PG application process. The application link is active at exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/.

The CUET PG application process started on December 14. Candidates who have successfully filled out the form can make changes to it between January 23 to January 25. The CUET PG exam will be conducted in March 2026.

The documents required for CUET PG 2026 application include a passport-size photograph, signatures, category certificate, academic details and certificates.

CUET PG application fee

The CUET PG application fee for the General category candidates is Rs 1,400 for two papers, with an additional Rs 700 for each extra paper. For the Other Backward Class- Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category candidates, the fee is Rs 1,200 for two papers and Rs 600 per additional paper. The Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and third gender category candidates must pay Rs 1,100 for two papers, while Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category candidates must pay Rs 1,000 for two papers. Candidates applying from outside India need to pay Rs 7,000 for two papers with an additional Rs 3,500 for each extra paper.

CUET PG 2026 eligibility criteria

Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university are eligible to apply. Those who are currently in the final year of the undergraduate programme can also submit applications, subject to fulfill admission requirements at the time of counselling.

To apply for the CUET PG exam, candidates first need to go to the CUET PG official website. Follow the registration process to generate the login identity. Next, log in using the credentials and then fill the application form with personal info, academic info and contact information. Upload the scanned images of the photo, signature, and necessary documents. Make payment of the required fee and then submit the form.
