This 11-year-old boy from Hebei province of northern China went to a shoe shop one day. He had a big bundle of one yuan notes in his hand. While giving money to the shopkeeper, he asked him to show him a good shoe for his mother. The boy told the shopkeeper that it was his mother's birthday gift and that his old shoes were beginning to tear. The boy gave a total of 200 yuan to the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper gave him a white sports shoe and also gave him a good discount. The shopkeeper took less than 100 yuan from him.
