Detailed information about practice

Training specifics

Lieutenant Colonel Mahendra Rawat said that this intensive training program is important in operational integration between the two forces. Spearhead gunners of the Spear Corps along with infantry regiments and ITBP personnel conducted the exercise. This is a unique firepower training initiative, which aims to share the procedures of various artillery operations with non-artillery personnel.

Use of artillery and mutual coordination

During the training, ITBP and Army personnel were made to conduct multiple artillery firing exercises under the guidance of experienced spearhead gunners. According to Colonel Rawat, its main goal was to bridge the gap between traditional roles and explain the integration of firepower in dynamic combat scenarios.

Importance of practice and future preparation

Colonel Rawat said that the first phase of ‘Agni Pariksha’ will contribute significantly to the development of integrated warfare capabilities required for future battlefields. The successful conduct of this exercise demonstrates the Indian Army’s commitment to efficiency and mission-oriented training. The exercise proves to foster the Army’s continuous adaptation, innovation, and inter-agency collaboration to meet changing operational challenges.
