Gary Neville is stunned by the turnaround in Patrick Dorgu having seen him as an "average wing-back" under Ruben Amorim - before seeing him thrive as a winger more recently.
The Dane was the first signing made by Amorim, who was wanting wing-backs to suit his system and signed Dorgu from Italian side Leece. The 21-year-old was unable to have a huge impact in what was a struggling Manchester United side however.
Towards the end of Amorim's reign, when he veered away from his 3-4-3 formation, Dorgu found himself playing as a winger and that is a position he's continued in under Michael Carrick. The new head coach has adopted more of a conventional system, which has suited the team and its players.
Dorgu scored in the Manchester derby win last weekend and then on Sunday backed that up with another strike, this time a stunning volley, as the Red Devils downed Arsenal with Neville stunned by his upturn in form.
He said on Sky Sports: "Patrick Dorgu looked like such an average wing-back under Ruben Amorim. Further forward he looks like a completely and utterly different player."

Neville elaborated on that as he added on his podcast: "You can’t really say anything bad about him because he’s a willing runner, he always wanted the ball and worked hard under Ruben Amorim. But you thought, what is he? And how is he going to get man United back to where they need to be?
"The first time we saw a glimpse of what he could be was actually under Amorim when he played him as a wide right. I thought he could play a bit when he could play a bit higher up and had a player behind him, I thought he could be a good wide player and cause problems and get crosses in.
"Then Amorim put him back at wing-back and you thought, oh no. Looking at him now he’s obviously a winger, he’s obviously a winger. His goal was absolutely brilliant. Patrick Dorgu typifies what has happened at Manchester United in this last week."
United's win has lifted them into the top four as the calls for Carrick to land the job beyond this season gather momentum. The former player and knocked off to the Premier League's top four sides whilst pushing United's hopes for a Champions League finish as he continues to receive plenty of plaudits.
