David and Victoria Beckham face their “worst crisis yet,” a close family friend has said. It comes as Victoria, 51, is being tipped for a huge career move in the aftermath.
Last week Brooklyn, 26, posted a series of explosive Instagram claims about his family, amid talk of a feud between the Beckhams. He went on to claim that “brand Beckham comes first” for his parents and says his mum gatecrashed his first dance with wife Nicola Peltz.
He also claimed he and Nicola had travelled to the UK for Sir David’s 50th birthday party last year but “were rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him". Sources close to the Beckhams told HELLO! magazinethey were left devastated by Brooklyn’s claims.

One friend said: “This is a crisis for the family – a bomb at the very heart of the family and the worst crisis they have ever faced.”
Another told the magazine the couple were “distraught” and hoped any issues with their eldest son could have been “resolved privately”. A third described the feud between the family as “heartbreaking”.
The feud between Brooklyn and his parents has led to speculation as to how “brand Beckham” moves forward. It led to one family friend claiming that a huge move from Victoria could “change the story”.
They added: “I wouldn’t be surprised if the fans' much-longed-for Spice Girls reunion happened – if Victoria announces she’s going to go on tour with the Spice Girls, just to change the story.”
The insider said it will be “fascinating” to see what the Beckhams do next. They added that while both David and Victoria are “devastated” by the claims from Brooklyn, Victoria has been left particularly “furious”.
The Spice Girls last toured in 2019 when Mel B, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Mel C toured the UK and Ireland. Victoria however missed the tour to focus on her family and fashion business.
The former girl group, minus Mel B, met to celebrate Emma’s 50th birthday over the weekend. Commenting on a picture of the trio, David said: “This made me happy. I can only imagine how the spice girls fans feel."
In his Instagram posts, Brooklyn claimed his parents had “controlled narratives in the press about our family”. He added: “The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.
“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade.”
Earlier this week, Sir David appeared to respond to the statement, when he told US outlet CNBC’s Squawk Box: “I’ve always spoke about social media and the power of social media for the good and for the bad.
“The bad we’ve talked about with what kids can access these days. It can be dangerous, but what I’ve found personally, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons.
“I’ve been able to use my platform and my following for Unicef and it’s been the biggest tool to make people aware of what’s going on around the world for children. I’ve tried to do the same. I’ve tried to do the same with my children to educate them.
“They make mistakes. Children are allowed to make mistakes. That’s how they learn. So that’s what I try to teach my kids. But you know, you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well.”
