Tourist rescued after getting trapped in water current at Vibhooti Falls
Ankola: A tourist was rescued by lifeguard staff after he got trapped in a strong water current and started drowning at Vibhooti Falls on Monday.
The tourist has been identified as Aditya (19) from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He had come to Vibhooti Falls along with a group of 40 youths for a trip. While they were swimming, the lifeguard on duty noticed one person struggling in the water.
Lifeguard Vijaykumar Naik immediately rushed to the spot and used a rope and other safety equipment to pull Aditya to safety. The lifeguard’s timely action saved the tourist’s life.
Tourists and locals praised and congratulated the lifeguard for his bravery.
