Alejandro Garnacho has reached out to Bruno Fernandes on social media after Manchester United's thrilling 3-2 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Patrick Dorgu netted a spectacular goal to put United ahead in the second half after Bryan Mbeumo had equalised.

Arsenal managed to draw level once more, but Matheus Cunha restored United's advantage shortly after entering the fray with a brilliant strike from outside the penalty area. Interim boss Michael Carrick has enjoyed an outstanding start to his temporary tenure, securing wins against both Manchester City and Arsenal.

Following the match, United captain Fernandes posted several images from the encounter, including one alongside goalscorer Dorgu, who produced an excellent display. He captioned it: "Ballon D'orgu," accompanied by a lovestruck emoji.

This drew a reaction from Garnacho, who responded with: "T best." Garnacho seems to have kept tabs on United since his departure from Old Trafford to Chelsea in a £40million summer transfer, ending his three-year stint at the club.

Dorgu also replied to the post, commenting "Nice assist," followed by laughing emojis. Cunha then praised the Portuguese midfielder as the "IQ man." Meanwhile, Mbeumo, Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Zirkzee, Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez, Manuel Ugarte and Leny Yoro all 'liked' the post.

Chelsea star Cole Palmer, who has emerged as a potential United target, showed his approval by liking it. Speaking following the match, Carrick cautioned his side against getting carried away, emphasising that numerous fixtures remain ahead.

"I'm not getting carried away," Carrick informed journalists. "We've got some big games, bigger games, coming up, because every next game is the bigger game. "So we're not getting carried away. We've got really important things coming up that we need to keep improving with.

"But there's a lot of emotion, a lot of energy and a lot of confidence that you can take from that [beating City and Arsenal], but be humble and understand how we've got these results. That's really important moving forward. ".

United bounced back to winning ways in spectacular style, building on their Manchester derby triumph over City with another victory against Mikel Arteta's outfit to move into fourth position and bolster their prospects in the battle for Champions League qualification.
