The 16th match of the Women's Premier League 2026 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women and Mumbai Indians Women at BCA Stadium in Vadodara saw a major moment in league history. Nat Sciver-Brunt became the first player to score a century in the WPL which helped Mumbai Indians reach 199 runs for 4 wickets in their 20 overs. Mumbai needed to win the game and their star all-rounder delivered her best performance at the most crucial time.

RCB decided to bowl first so Mumbai came out to bat. The innings had pressure from the start because Mumbai had to win the game to continue their season. Sciver-Brunt entered the match early to take command through his precise shots and intelligent running and his composed approach.

Sciver-Brunt leads the way with historic hundred

Sciver-Brunt reached her hundred in 57 balls after hitting 16 fours and 1 six. She finished the innings at the score of 100* while maintaining a strike rate of 175.44. Her innings had a perfect rhythm which she maintained through her careful shot selection and absence of haste. What's even more special was her composed approach after the fall of early wicket of Mumbai Indians.

Initially, she kept the fielders busy with singles and quick twos, then opened up with boundaries once set. Her timing against pace and spin was equally strong, and RCB bowlers had little answer as she kept placing the ball in gaps. The perfect knock occurred when Mumbai faced points table pressure.

The century makes her the first player to score a WPL hundred. Sciver-Brunt broke the barrier which had kept league scores till ninties until today.
