Public Grievance Hearing Draws Large Turnout

The grievance redressal programme was held at the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan, where nearly 200 people presented their complaints and requests. Applications submitted by attendees covered issues such as land disputes, healthcare needs, and administrative delays. The Chief Minister personally reviewed the written petitions and listened carefully as individuals explained their concerns.

Direct Interaction With Citizens

Moving among those seated, the Chief Minister adopted an informal and approachable manner, stopping to ask people about their hometowns and the nature of their problems. This face-to-face interaction allowed him to hear each case individually, creating a setting aimed at reassuring citizens that their grievances were being taken seriously. Attendees were encouraged to speak freely about their difficulties without hesitation.

Instructions for Swift and Transparent Resolution

Addressing officials present at the venue, the Chief Minister emphasised the importance of sensitivity and accountability while handling public complaints. He directed departments to ensure that every grievance is addressed promptly, fairly, and with clear communication. Special attention was ordered in cases involving land encroachment, with instructions to initiate strict legal action wherever violations are confirmed.

Financial Support for Medical Treatment

As seen during similar programmes, a significant number of applicants sought financial assistance for the treatment of serious illnesses. The Chief Minister assured them that financial constraints would not stand in the way of necessary medical care. Officials were instructed to speed up the process of obtaining cost estimates from hospitals and submit them for approval, with funding to be provided through the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund wherever required.

Encouragement for Children and Families

Several families attended the programme accompanied by young children. The Chief Minister interacted warmly with them, encouraging the children to focus on their education and attend school regularly. In a light-hearted moment, he distributed chocolates to the children, adding a personal touch to an otherwise formal administrative exercise.

Morning Rituals at Gorakhnath Temple

Earlier in the day, during his stay at the Gorakhnath Temple, the Chief Minister followed his customary routine. He offered prayers at the temple shrine dedicated to Guru Gorakhnath and paid respects at the statue of his guru, the late Mahant Avaidyanath. He then took a walk around the temple परिसर, maintaining the traditions he regularly observes during visits to the site.

Cow Service and Visit to the Temple Cowshed

As part of his routine, the Chief Minister visited the temple’s cowshed, where he participated in cow service. He called out to the cows by name and fed them bread and jaggery by hand, spending time interacting with the animals. During the visit, a peacock also approached, and the Chief Minister gently fed it small pieces of bread, a moment witnessed by temple staff present at the time.

The visit concluded with officials reiterating their commitment to act on the instructions given during the grievance hearing, while residents expressed hope for timely resolution of their issues following the direct interaction with the state’s top leadership.
