Vivo has launched the X200T, a new addition to its last year’s flagship X200 series, positioning it as a refreshed model with upgraded chipset and battery at a relatively competitive price. The launch comes even as the newer Vivo X300 is available, with the company continuing to list the X200 series on its official website.
Vivo X200T price and availability
The Vivo X200T is priced at Rs 59,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage option costs Rs 69,999. The smartphone will be available in Stellar Black and Seaside Lilac colour options. As part of launch offers, Axis, HDFC and SBI card users can avail a flat Rs 5,000 discount.
Display and design
The handset features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The panel does not use LTPO technology but comes with slim bezels and standard flagship-grade specifications for the segment. The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance and has an aluminium alloy frame with glass on both sides.
Performance and software
The Vivo X200T is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+, an overclocked and optimised version of the Dimensity 9400 chipset. While it does not match the Dimensity 9500 used in the Vivo X300, it is designed to handle demanding gaming and multitasking tasks. The device is paired with 12GB of RAM and runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box. Vivo has promised five major OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
Battery and charging
The smartphone packs a 6,200mAh battery, which is larger than that of the standard X200. It supports 90W wired Flash charging and 40W wireless charging.
Camera specifications
The Vivo X200T sports a Zeiss-backed triple rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYT702 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide lens and a 3x 50MP Sony LYT600 telephoto camera. The front camera is a 32MP unit.
Connectivity and other features
Other features include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.4.
Positioning against rivals
With its pricing and feature set, the Vivo X200T is positioned as a strong contender in the segment, offering a larger battery than the Motorola Signature and stronger overall performance than the OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini.
