Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a big step was taken towards making UP a medical technology hub. YEIDA gave 10 acres of land to Shukra Pharmaceuticals in the Medical Devices Park, which will create more than 2900 jobs.
Lucknow. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, another important initiative has been taken towards making Uttar Pradesh a global center of medical technology. With the efforts of Invest UP, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has provided Letter of Intent for 10 acres of land in the Medical Devices Park to Shukra Pharmaceuticals Limited.
10 Acre Land Allotment in Medical Devices Park
This letter of intent was submitted on Tuesday. Through this project, more than 900 direct and about 2000 indirect employment opportunities will be created in the state. This investment is believed to take Uttar Pradesh to new heights in the field of Make in India, health innovation and employment generation.
Creation of advanced life-saving medical technologies
Shukra Pharmaceuticals Limited will manufacture world-class life-saving medical technologies in this state-of-the-art facility to be set up in the Medical Devices Park. The major highlight of this project is the production of Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) technology, which is considered to be a state-of-the-art method of treating complex and serious cancers. This will place India among the leading countries in global health innovation.
Production of radiology and imaging equipment
Modern equipment related to radiology and imaging will be manufactured in this plant. These will include CT scan, MRI, PET scan, X-ray and ultrasonography machines. Besides, necessary respiratory care solutions for anesthesia system, ICU and operation theater will also be developed, which will strengthen the health system of the country.
Advanced Devices for Cardiovascular and Respiratory Care
Under the project, advanced cardiac implants such as heart valves, stents and left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) will be manufactured. Apart from this, special attention will also be given to the manufacturing of respiratory support products like ventilators and oxygen concentrators, which will prove to be life-saving for serious patients.
Development of medical robotics and surgical systems
A key feature of this MedTech Park is the development of Medical Robotic Systems. These will be constructed under
- soft tissue surgical robots
- Orthopedic Robotic Systems (Including Implants)
- Dental Robotic Systems
- Neuro-Spine Robotic Systems
These technologies will promote precision, safety and innovation in surgery.
IVD Diagnostics and Medical Training Simulators
The facility will produce in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) solutions such as point-of-care testing devices and advanced analyzers, providing fast, accurate and affordable testing to patients. Along with this, state-of-the-art medical simulators will also be installed for doctors, nurses and para-medical personnel, which will promote safe training and skill development.
More than 2900 jobs and priority to local youth
This project will create a total of more than 2900 direct and indirect employment opportunities. These include manufacturing, research and development, quality control, regulatory services, sales, marketing and support services. The project will lay special emphasis on recruitment and skill development of local youth, thereby ensuring inclusive development.
