If you’ve ever dealt with skin issues, you’ll know how much they can affect you, and GK Barry has been open about her struggles with her skin for years. However she’s recently found something that she says is “witchcraft” for how well it’s cleared up spots and scarring, as she praised the Anua Azelaic 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Pads on Instagram.
Sharing a snap of the handy skincare pads, GK wrote: "I've had really bad skin again since November, and Anna Lingis gave me this to try - it has completely cleared the scarring on my skin and reduced any spots. I dunno what witchcraft this is but I'm into it."

The Redness Soothing Pads are just £22 so won’t break the bank, and you get 90 pads inside each tub so even if you use one every day, it should last you around three months. The pads are soaked in a blend of azelaic acid and seven other cica-derived ingredients, which help to calm and soothe sensitive skin and visibly reduce redness.
As they’re pre-soaked, they’re quick and easy to use. All you need to do is grab one, apply to the areas you’re concerned about and leave it on your skin for around five to 10 minutes. Then gently wipe it off and continue your skincare routine as normal.
The Anua Redness Soothing Pads currently only have one review at Boots, which is a five star one saying: “I have redness combo rosacea skin. These are a life saver. I use these twice a day. Compared to the serum these seem less drying. Plus sweeping these over my face helps with dry patches. Would wholeheartedly recommend.”
However they’re also available at LookFantastic, where they still have a 4.9 star rating from 14 reviews. One shopper there wrote: “This is the best brand i have discoverd in a very long time. These pads are amazing to put on my cheeks when they are hot and red. They calm the skin and take the redness down. They are amazing. Whole range is outstanding and price point is fantastic.”
Whilst another agreed: “My perimenopausal skin loves these. Moisture and calming effects are what I was hoping for plus they are helping me with the new redness patches I seem to be getting now on my cheeks. Easy to use and the lid of the tub secures well.”
In fact the only review that wasn’t five stars, was a four star one saying: “These are cooling and moisturising. Effective on my reactive rosacea skin. I leave them on for 20-30 minutes in the morning and they feel lovely. Nice and wet, then I massage in the leftover serum.”
Also at Boots are the No7 Good Intent Calm Fix Soothing Pads 80 Pads which are £14.95 and help to refresh and soothe skin. You can also snap up the Medicube Zero Pore Pad 2.0 for £24 which exfoliate, refine skin texture and control excess oil for a smoother, mattified complexion.
