McDonald's fans are bursting with excitement as the fast-food chain is rumoured to bring older customers a wave of nostalgia with new toys that kids might not understand. Anyone who was around in the 90s or early 2000s should instantly recognise the classic characters featured in 'Happy Meals for adults'.
People might want to visit their nearest McDonald's next month, as the chain is reportedly introducing a range of items inspired by the hit sitcom Friends. The show, which first aired in 1994 and ended its ten-season run in 2004, became a global pop culture hit.
The series, which follows six friends as they navigate life in Manhattan during their 20s and 30s, continues to be just as popular in 2026 as it was almost 30 years ago. At the time of writing, McDonald's UK has not confirmed the promotion when announcing a new menu refresh for February, though masses of fans online are convinced it is happening.

However, bosses have shared a cryptic Instagram post teasing fans with a photo of the iconic Central Park fountain and the orange couch from the sitcom's opening titles. Despite no official word, as of January 27, it has been widely discussed on social media.
Food reviewers have claimed that the 'adult Happy Meal' is coming alongside the latest menu refresh on February 3, 2026. A preview of what could be expected was put together by the Instagram account @UKnewestfoods.
Early suggestions claim that the Friends-inspired meal will include a selected main meal (Big Mac, nine Chicken McNuggets or McPlant) alongside fries and a choice drink. These meals are said to come with a collectable figure of either Ross, Rachel, Joey, Phoebe, Monica or Chandler.
Fans were clearly excited by the thought of this new promotion. One put: "Can’t wait for the Friends adult happy meals!" Another said: "This has changed everything! I love this Show and still watch it now!"
Someone else wrote: "I am going to explode with excitement!" And, one more fast food fan commented: "OH MY GOD! It’s happening, it’s actually happening!"
What else is new at McDonald's in February? The newly refreshed menu lands in stores and on the McDonald's app for delivery from Tuesday, February 3. It includes some returning favourites as well as completely new items that will be a first for UK customers.
The full range of limited edition items that have been confirmed so far includes:
- Tikka Chicken Wrap (NEW: Available as Wrap of the Day on Wednesdays and Saturdays)
- Philly Cheese Stack (RETURNING)
- Milkybar Crispy Cookie McFlurry (NEW)
- Munchies Vanilla Cheesecake McFlurry (NEW)
- Chocolate Brownie Pie (RETURNING)

The UK Newest Foods post also claimed that the current fried cheese side (Chilli Cheese Bites as of January 2026) are set to be replaced with Pizza-inspired Mozzarella Dippers. These have yet to be confirmed by McDonald's as they are rumoured to come alongside a portion of Monica’s Marinara Dip - which would also support the Friends camapign.
