Both were part of the first T20, in which Clarke took one wicket, while opener Robinson scored 21 runs.

Why did New Zealand change the team?

The reason for the sudden removal of these two players from the team is the return of the players of the team selected for the T20 World Cup. Giving the reason for this decision in its post, the New Zealand Board said that James Neesham, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Seifert have joined the camp. Of these, Seifert was a part of the T20 series from the beginning and has already played two matches, but all-rounder Neesham and fast bowler Ferguson are now joining the team.

Experienced all-rounder Neesham was recently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League, while Ferguson was on a break.
