A comparison video of Team India stars Abhishek Sharma and Virat Kohli controlling the ball with their bat has gone viral on social media. Abhishek is currently playing in the T20I series against New Zealand, while Kohli will next be seen during the IPL 2026 season.

The viral clip shows both players doing the same activity in different style and settings. The video first shows Abhishek Sharma in his India jersey, controlling the ball with his bat while kneeling near the boundary ropes before going in to bat. He can be seen padded up and switching the position of his bat while doing so.

 

In the next part of the clip, Virat Kohli can be seen controlling the ball with his bat while walking and not sitting or staying still. Kohli was seen doing this during IPL 2025 practice in his Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) kit. He switched the position of his bat while moving into the ground.

 

The video shows Abhishek using both his hands to control the ball while Kohli controlled the ball with one hand. This made fans share the clip widely and compare both moments.

The video gained attention due to the different styles both players showed and how they controlled the ball before or during practice. Fans shared the clip to show their admiration for the players while they demonstrated their ball control skills.

 

Kohli was last seen during the home ODI series against New Zealand. He scored a century and a half-century in three matches. He scored 240 runs, achieving an 80.00 average and a 105.26 strike rate.

Abhishek Sharma in Top Form Ahead of T20 World Cup 2026

 

Abhishek Sharma had a strong 2025 season and has continued his form in early 2026. He is in fine form ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026 and has been key in the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand.

 

Abhishek has scored 152 runs in three matches, achieving a batting average of 76.00 and a strike rate of 271.42. He has hit two half-centuries in the series. He scored a 35-ball 84 in the first match, hitting five fours and eight sixes at a strike rate of 240. He went out for zero in the second game while in the third match he made a strong comeback.

 

Abhishek made 68 runs from 20 balls with a strike rate of 340 in the third T20I. His innings had seven fours and five sixes which helped India show strong intent before the T20 World Cup.
