London, Jan 27: Scotland has announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka in February. They were added to the tournament after Bangladesh was replaced by Scotland in Group C.
Richie Berrington will captain the team. The squad includes experienced players like George Munsey, Brandon McMullen, Safyaan Sharif and Chris Greaves. Most of the squad played at the previous T20 World Cup in 2024.
A new face in the team is Zainullah Ihsan, an Afghan-born fast bowler who has completed qualification to play for Scotland and earns his maiden World Cup call-up.
Scotland also named two travelling reserves and three non-travelling reserves to support the squad, as they prepare on short notice after their late inclusion.
The team will begin its World Cup campaign against the West Indies in early February, aiming to compete strongly in the tournament.
