For Zimbabwe, the struggles of top scorers Leeroy Chiwaula (62 runs, 77 balls, one six, seven fours), Kian Blignaut (37 runs, 73 runs, four fours) and Tatenda Chimugoro (29 runs, 29 balls, two sixes, one four) were inadequate. In these, there was a partnership of 69 runs between Leeroy and Blignaut for the fourth wicket, while Leeroy and Tatenda added 49 runs for the fifth wicket. After Kundu’s return, Malhotra added 52 runs for the seventh wicket with Ambarish (21 runs, 28 balls, one four) and then for the eighth wicket, along with the aggressive Khilan Patel (30 runs, 12 balls, three sixes, one four), a partnership of 47 runs took India beyond 350.
