Kushinagar. On the auspicious occasion of the country’s 77th Republic Day, a grand ceremony was organized by the Municipal Council Padrauna with full enthusiasm, patriotism and dignified atmosphere. On this occasion, Municipality President Vinay Jaiswal hoisted the flag in the Municipality Office and Jalkal Office premises and saluted the national flag.

After the flag hoisting, there was collective singing of the national anthem, due to which the entire campus was filled with the spirit of patriotism. The officers, employees, public representatives and citizens present at the ceremony expressed their faith in the motherland by singing the national anthem in unison. On the occasion of Republic Day, a grand Prabhat Pheri was organized in the city by the Municipal Council. Municipality officers-employees, public representatives, social workers and a large number of city residents participated in the Prabhat Pheri. During the Prabhat Pheri, the entire city got colored in the colors of patriotism with deafening slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, “Vande Mataram”, “Samvidhan Amar Rahe”. After this, Municipality Chairman Vinay Jaiswal paid tribute to the statues of great men, freedom fighters and saints installed in the city by garlanding them. In this sequence, many great personalities including Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, architect of the Indian Constitution Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar were paid homage. Along with this, the ideals and thoughts of Modansen Ji Maharaj, Sahastrabahu Arjun Ji, Lord Vishwakarma, Lord Parshuram and Saint Ravidas Ji were remembered by offering flowers to their statues. The program concluded with garlanding the statue of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap situated in Baoli. During this, the crowd present paid tribute to his indomitable courage, sacrifice and patriotism. At the end of the ceremony, sweets were distributed among the people present and everyone was sworn in to protect the dignity of the Constitution, unity and integrity of the country and democratic values. In his address, Municipality Chairman Vinay Jaiswal said that Republic Day is not just a festival but a day to imbibe the rights and duties provided by the Constitution. He said that we should take a pledge to bring development to the last person in the society and play an active role in nation building. On this occasion, representative Manish Bulbul Jaiswal, Executive Officer Santram Saroj, JE Rambahadur, Tax Superintendent Harishchandra, Tax Inspector Ravi Singh, Manoj Singh, Mahendra Chaudhary, Ghanshyam Yadav, Arun Singh, Ashok Gupta, Alok Vishwakarma, Neeraj Mishra, Brajesh Sharma, Sunny Mishra, Anil Pandey, Akash Verma, Bhaskar Pathak, Rajesh Kushwaha, Bharat Chaudhary, Vinay Madheshiya, A large number of city residents including Anand Rawat, Diwakar Mishra were present. The entire program was completed peacefully and successfully with the spirit of patriotism, unity and respect for the Constitution.
