2. Carry proper winter gear
Pack thermals, extra layers, waterproof gloves, fleece jackets and woollen socks in order to keep yourself warm in extreme conditions. Snow boots with grip is essnetial to help you walk on ice.
3. Carry a power bank
Carry a power bank and keep your phone fully charged whenever stepping out. It can help you rescue in emergencies for navigation, emergency calls or informing your hotel.
4. Hire local taxis
Locals know the terrains and how to drive, hire taxis that can help you with a tour during the snowfall season to help navigate dangerous paths.
5. Carry medical kit
Carry medicines for fever, sore throat, headache, motion sickness, ORS, band-aids and other medications prescribed for higher altitude to avoid any medical emergency.

Visibility can drop to zero after dark. Avoid travelling as roads may freeze, making driving risky and walking too.
3. Don’t assume the GPS is always right
GPS may show some shortcuts and ways which are too risky during bad weather conditions. Take roads which are checked by locals or have some usual traffic ongoing.
4. Don’t block roads for photos
Snowfall often draws crowds, but stopping a vehicle in the middle of a slippery road for pictures can be dangerous.
