On Wednesday morning, Delhi was enveloped in light fog, with the minimum temperature recorded at 12.6 degrees Celsius, which is 4.2 degrees higher than the seasonal average. According to meteorological data, the minimum temperatures varied across different areas: 11.5 degrees Celsius in Palam, 12.6 degrees Celsius at Lodhi Road, 12 degrees Celsius at Ridge, and 12.7 degrees Celsius in Ayanagar.
The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 16.9 degrees Celsius. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reported that the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 9 AM was 266, categorizing it as poor.
As per CPCB guidelines, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 is 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 is 'moderate', 201 to 300 is 'poor', 301 to 400 is 'very poor', and 401 to 500 falls into the 'severe' category.
