On one hand, millions of farmers across the country are waiting for the next installment of the PM Kisan Yojana, the 22nd installment. On the other hand, many people in different districts of Uttar Pradesh have started receiving Rs. 1 lakh in their accounts. This money is not under the PM Kisan Yojana, but rather the first installment under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U).
The government has released the 2026 list for the PM Awas Yojana. Beneficiaries whose names are on this list will receive financial assistance for building a house under this scheme.
Millions receive the first installment.
The first installment for those who were to benefit from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban in 2026 has started arriving. On December 18, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gifted Rs. 1 lakh each to 2 lakh beneficiaries. This is the first installment under this scheme.
During this time, CM Yogi transferred a grant amount of Rs. 2,000 crore. So, if you had applied for the PM Awas Yojana and your name is on the list, your first installment may have already arrived or will arrive soon.
Under the BLC category of the PM Awas Yojana Urban, the money is disbursed in three installments. 40% of the money is given in the first and second installments. The remaining 20% is given in the final installment.
If your name is on the PMAY list, you can check the beneficiary funds released for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban by following the steps below:

This budget will also announce the amount to be released under the PM Kisan scheme in the next financial year. A budget will be allocated for this scheme.
