Monsoon Update – Rain Likely in 20 Districts of UP, Clouds to Thunder – Times Bull

UP Monsoon Forecast: A western disturbance is currently affecting many parts of North India, leading to unfavorable weather conditions. Heavy rainfall lashed western Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning, causing a drop in temperature. While the sun did come out in the afternoon, the cold winds maintained the chill. Further temperature drops are expected, leading to continued cold weather.

Over the next 48 hours, a drop of up to 5 degrees Celsius in temperature is possible. After that, no significant change in the weather is expected. Rainfall is also being observed in the Awadh and eastern UP regions. Dense fog is expected in some parts of Uttar Pradesh in the coming days, which is likely to affect visibility. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a rain alert has been issued for several areas of the state.

Weather Forecast for these areas

According to the IMD, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain in Hardoi, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, and Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh. Shravasti, Gonda, Ayodhya, Balrampur, Basti, Siddharthnagar, and Sant Kabir Nagar may also experience thunderstorms and rain. In addition, a rain alert with thunderstorms has been issued for Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, and Deoria.

Where will dense fog prevail?

The Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in Mathura, Aligarh, Hathras, Agra, Prayagraj, Lalitpur, Jhansi, and Mahoba. Visibility is expected to be between 100 and 500 meters in these areas. A fog warning has also been issued for Hamirpur, Kanpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Etawah, Auraiya, Kannauj, Mainpuri, Etah, and Farrukhabad. Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Baghpat, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, and Bareilly are expected to have clear skies.

Weather in Lucknow and Noida

Cloudy skies are expected in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday. Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is also expected here. The IMD has predicted that light fog may prevail after 24 hours.

In Lucknow, the minimum temperature is expected to be around 11 degrees Celsius and the maximum around 20 degrees Celsius. In Noida, which is adjacent to Delhi, light fog is expected this morning. A sudden temperature rise is likely in the coming days. This will likely provide relief from the intense cold.
