India’s Way Side Amenities (WSA) initiative is transforming highway travel by offering safe, modern, and convenient stopover facilities along corridors developed under Bharatmala Pariyojana, which envisions 34,800 km of highways and expressways nationwide.
Implemented by National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), over 1,000 WSAs are planned at 40–60 km intervals to enhance commuter comfort and logistics efficiency. These WSAs provide amenities such as fuel stations, EV charging, clean washrooms, eateries, parking, medical aid, and dedicated facilities for truckers and drivers. Together, these world class highway touchpoints aim to elevate road travel in India, making journeys more comfortable, safer, and economically vibrant.
BPCL is also emerging as a key contributor to India’s world class WSA ecosystem, having already developed 21 state of the art facilities with 18 more on the way. Building on its strong retail and travel convenience legacy, BPCL’s flagship WSA—VK 2 on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway (NE 4) in Vadodara district, Gujarat—sets a new benchmark in comfort, safety, and customer experience.
Designed as a premium mobility destination, VK 2 offers modern amenities, seamless services, and a superior stopover environment for both long-haul drivers and families. With this expansion, BPCL is playing a pivotal role in redefining highway travel standards across India.
