India and Saudi Arabia extended hands against terrorism, big meeting on security cooperation held in Riyadh

India Saudi Strategic Security Cooperation: India and Saudi Arabia recently held the third important meeting of the Security Working Group in Riyadh. The main objective of this meeting was to strengthen the emerging challenges of terrorism and security cooperation. Under the India-Saudi Strategic Security Cooperation, both the countries have reiterated their commitment to peace and stability. Important meeting in Riyadh

The third meeting of the Security Working Group under the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council (SPC) concluded successfully in Riyadh on Wednesday. This high-level meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Vinod Bahade, Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, and Ahmed Al-Isa of Saudi Arabia. The two representatives held detailed and in-depth discussions on mutual security interests and promotion of bilateral relations.

Strong condemnation of terrorism

Both sides strongly condemned terrorism in all its forms and expressed their deep concern over cross-border attacks. Special mention was made in the meeting of the attacks that took place in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025 and near the Red Fort in Delhi on 10 November 2025. Expressing condolences to the innocent civilians killed in these attacks, he talked about eradicating terrorism from its roots.

During the review of security cooperation, both the countries talked about the threats posed by terrorist groups operating in the world and in their regions. It included important topics like countering radicalism, stopping the financing of terrorism and preventing misuse of technology. SPC expansion

In April last year, India and Saudi Arabia expanded the scope of their Strategic Partnership Council (SPC) by including two new ministerial committees. This expansion clearly reflects the growing trust and diversifying relations between the two countries.
