Prince Harry has been announced as a keynote speaker for a major event, which will take place just days before a major appearance by the King and Queen. The Duke of Sussex will attend this year's International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Global Summit in Washington DC.
The event will take place from March 30 to April 2. Harry will deliver a speech in his role as a humanitarian and mental health advocate. The organisers said: "In honour of Data Privacy Day, we're excited to announce that Prince Harry will join us on the main stage at IAPP Global Summit 2026.
"In his keynote, he will share his insights on whether today's digital world is breaking or bridging society."
Maudry Thursday takes place on April 2 and it's a key date in the royal calendar.
Every year, the monarch distributes special Maundy money to local pensioners and the event is watched by several people.
King Charles has attended the service every year since his ascension to the throne, except in 2024, when he was absent while undergoing cancer treatment.
The summit organisers described Harry as a "humanitarian, mental health advocate, environmentalist, and military combat veteran".
They said his work has been shaped by his efforts to create "positive and lasting change for communities and the planet, particularly in advancing conversations around resilience and healing".
They said: "Prince Harry is a respected voice on global issues, and in recent years has delivered impactful keynote addresses at the United Nations General Assembly and the Clinton Global Initiative."
