The Himachal Pradesh government has announced recruitment for Junior Office Assistant positions. The application process has begun, and interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website. The last date to apply is February 27, 2026. According to the notification, a total of 234 vacancies are to be filled. Of these 234 positions, 84 are unreserved, 30 are reserved for EWS, 48 for OBC, 57 for Scheduled Castes, and 12 for Scheduled Tribes.

How to Apply
Those who wish to apply must first visit the website of the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HPRA). A link related to this job will be available on the homepage. Click on it. A new page will open. Fill in the requested information correctly. You will then be asked to fill out the application form. Fill in the correct information in the application form and submit it. Finally, take a printout of the application form.

How many vacancies are there?
According to the notification, a 12th-grade pass is required for these positions. However, 10th-grade pass candidates can also apply, but they must have a one or two-year IT/ITES ITI certificate or a 3-year diploma in Computer Engineering.

Candidates should also have good English language skills and be able to type at a speed of 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Hindi.

Regarding age, the minimum age limit for applying is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 45 years.

What is the selection process?
Candidates applying for these positions will have to appear for a screening test and a subject aptitude test. Those who pass these tests will have to take a typing test. The selected candidates will then undergo document verification.
