The Rajasthan government has taken a significant step towards making young people job creators, not just job seekers. The Chief Minister's Youth Self-Employment Scheme, launched by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, has emerged as a special opportunity for educated youth in the state who dream of doing something new.

This scheme of the Rajasthan government was launched on January 12th, and detailed guidelines were issued on January 15th. The online application process has now also begun. As soon as the portal opened, there was considerable enthusiasm among the youth.

The significant aspect is that the Rajasthan government will bear the entire interest on the loans provided under this scheme. The objective of the Chief Minister's Youth Self-Employment Scheme is clear: to reduce unemployment and empower young people for self-employment.

The government aims to directly benefit approximately one lakh young people through this scheme. The focus is not just on providing money, but on establishing young people on a path to sustainable income. Only young people who are permanent residents of Rajasthan and are between 18 and 45 years of age can avail of this scheme.

Applicants must have an SSO ID. Interested youth can apply online for this scheme through the SSO portal or the nearest e-Mitra center. While applying online, young people will have to upload their personal information, educational qualifications, details of the proposed business, and necessary documents.

Under the scheme, youth who have passed 8th to 12th grade will be given loans up to Rs 3.5 lakh for the service and trade sectors. For the manufacturing sector, this amount has been kept at up to Rs 7.5 lakh. The scheme also includes a provision for margin money.

Youth with lower qualifications can receive up to Rs 35,000 as margin money in the form of a loan. Graduates, ITI certificate holders, and those with higher qualifications will receive loans of up to ₹5 lakh for the service and trade sectors.

Young people with higher qualifications who wish to start a business in the manufacturing sector can receive interest-free loans of up to ₹10 lakh. They will also be provided with margin money of up to ₹50,000. Overall, this scheme can be a great support for young people who want to start their own businesses.
