BLACKPINK member Rosé is once again dominating global conversations, but this time, it is not about her music or style. The K-pop artist opened up about her personal life very rarely and revealed the difficulties of dating, love, and relationships in the public eye. Rosé’s revelation came during her guest appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, hosted by Alex Cooper. Upon being asked about her relationship status, the singer didn’t put up a wall but rather chose to be straightforward.

Instead of confirming or denying that she is currently in a relationship, Rosé revealed that she is open to love and that she definitely wants to find it. Rose also revealed that she feels a bit uncomfortable when the topic revolves around love. She stated that the main implication of being a celebrity is that any personal detail gets magnified and it is almost guaranteed that one will be judged very harshly.
She believes that the main reason why she hasn’t gotten involved in relationships publicly is that she wants to protect the people she loves. She also said that although she has gotten used to constant criticism that is focused on her, it is really painful to get the feeling that someone she loves is getting hurt just because of their association with her.

Additionally, the artist indicated that the size of her fan base can actually make things even harder. Rosé confessed that dating can be unsafe or overwhelming sometimes, with millions of people looking at her all the time. Maybe if in the future, she trusts more in the way that personal issues are handled publicly, then she can be more open about that part of her life. However, for the moment, she thinks that a lot of people understand the desire for privacy when it comes to feelings.
During the same conversation, Rosé looked back on the previous year of BLACKPINK. As each member got involved in solo projects and thus experienced longer times apart, she disclosed that the distance actually made their relationship stronger. She explained that being apart gave each member space to grow as individuals and at the same time, strengthened their bond as a group. Her remarks coincide with BLACKPINK clips that are from the ongoing Deadline Tour and are going viral, resulting in the group continuously being under the spotlight.
