Bridgerton fans have been left saying the same thing after the beloved drama's fourth series finally arrived on Netflix.

The newest instalment draws inspiration from Julia Quinn's third novel in her Bridgerton collection, An Offer From a Gentleman. This time, viewers follow Benedict Bridgerton's (Luke Thompson) search for love following several passionate flings.

After years of watching his siblings marry off, the second-eldest brother becomes captivated by a mysterious silver-clad woman at his mother's masquerade ball.

The lady concerned is Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), a maid who secretly attends the event and must leave by midnight to prevent being caught by her resentful stepmother.

Following a charming exchange, Sophie vanishes, leaving Benedict questioning her identity. Benedict subsequently recruits his sister Eloise's (Claudia Jessie) assistance and sets out to uncover the Lady in Silver's identity, reports the Mirror.

This traditional Cinderella-inspired story ranks amongst Bridgerton devotees' favourites from the book series. Even lead performer Thompson is enchanted by the narrative.

Addressing Tudum prior to the fourth series launch, he remarked: "You remember being told those stories as a child - the magic and the romance of them.

"It's really exciting to have that woven into the world that we know of Bridgerton. It's such a great story, but it's also, I hope, really relatable."

It appears supporters are prepared to embrace the fresh chapter, with many expressing their excitement across social media platforms.

Netflix posted on X, formerly Twitter, this morning to reveal the new instalment and was met with a flood of delighted responses.

Many expressed their enthusiasm about seeing Benedict and Sophie's (or Benophie) romance play out on screen. One wrote: "HOW IS THIS REAL? BENOPHIE SEASON YOURE SO PRECIOUS TO ME."

Another agreed: "WE LOVE YOU BENOPHIE," whilst a third gushed: "I'm so happy and beaming with joy, Benophie forever!!!"

Yet another viewer added: "THE BEST DAY OF JANUARY WITHOUT A DOUBT!!!"

Whilst a fifth said: "I already made the popcorn and I have a box of tissues for this season, author."

Bridgerton Season 4 part 1 is on Netflix, with part 2 dropping on February 26.
