Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after police said a man was "stabbed", with the victim pictured for the first time.

Lincolnshire Police said they "can now confirm" that the man from Grantham who died following an incident in Greyfriars on Monday evening (January 26) was Ian Jackson-Winch, 55. A spokesperson said: "We believe Ian was stabbed, and we are treating his death as murder. Our thoughts are very much with his family at this time, and they are being supported by specialist officers.

"A 55-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody. We have subsequently arrested another man, aged 43, also on suspicion of murder. This remains an active investigation, and we strongly advise the public not to speculate, as doing so could compromise the integrity of our investigation. Further updates will be issued when available."

The force also said they are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to call 101 quoting Incident 449 of January 26.

On January 27 police said: "We were called at 11.12pm last night (Monday, January 26) to reports of a man with injuries at a property in Greyfriars, Grantham.

"Officers and paramedics attended the scene and found a man with serious injuries. Despite the best efforts of those who attended, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."
