WARNING: THIS STORY CONTAINS SPOILERS
Bridgerton season four has finally arrived on Netflix, and the latest season puts Benedict Bridgerton (played by Luke Thompson) in the spotlight. Based on Julia Quinn's novel, An Offer from a Gentleman, it follows Benedict's Cinderella-style love story with Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).
The first four episodes dropped all at once, introducing fans to newcomer Sophie - a maid with dreams of experiencing the grandeur of a high society event. Disguising herself for a masquerade ball at Bridgerton House, she unexpectedly ran into Benedict, who was immediately taken by her.
They shared a fleeting, intimate moment before Sophie was forced to flee the ball and return to her normal life as a maid. Meanwhile, Benedict was left searching for the mystery woman who had won his heart.
By the fourth episode, Sophie and Benedict had developed a close connection, but he still had no idea she had been the mysterious woman in silver he had fallen for at the ball. With the first half of the season ending on a cliffhanger, fans are keen to find out more about what is to come.
Here is all you need to know about the episode count for season four and what can be expected from the next batch of episodes.
Bridgerton season four has been split into two parts, with part two scheduled to air on February 26, meaning fans face a month-long wait for the new episodes.
The fourth season is made up of eight episodes in total, with the final four scheduled to drop at the same time in February.
The episode count has been consistent throughout the entire series, with all three previous seasons comprising eight instalments.
However, the first two seasons dropped all eight episodes at once, with season three marking the first to be split into two parts.
The second half of season four will hopefully settle whether Benedict discovers the connection between Sophie and the mysterious woman in silver.
Fans who have already read Quinn's novels will know whether the pair get their happy ending, but it is not known how this will play out in the TV adaptation.
The upcoming episodes should also address Francesca Bridgerton's (Hannah Dodd) storyline, which will concern her husband John's (Victor Alli) cousin Michaela (Masali Baduza).
Actress Dodd previously teased what is to come for her character, telling Radio Times: "I think Michaela is a character that challenges Francesca, whereas John is a character that makes space for Francesca. They're both really important for Francesca to move forward."
Fans are also interested in finding out whether Lady Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell) continues to pursue her romance with Lady Danbury's (Adjoa Andoh) brother, Lord Anderson (Daniel Francis).
Bridgerton season 4 part 1 is on Netflix, part 2 will air on February 26
