State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the recruitment of 2050 Circle Based Officers (CBOs) across the country. Aspiring candidates can now apply online for these prestigious bank officer positions. The online application process for SBI CBO 2026 began on 29 January 2026 and will continue until 18 February 2026. Applications are accepted only through SBI’s official website: sbi.co.in. No offline submissions will be entertained, and forms submitted after the deadline will be rejected.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for SBI CBO 2026, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university is mandatory. Candidates with Integrated Dual Degrees (IDD) are also eligible.

• Professionals holding degrees in Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy (CA), or Cost Accountancy (CMA) can also apply.

• Age Limit: Applicants should be between 21 and 30 years as of 31 December 2025. In other words, the candidate’s date of birth must fall between 1 January 1996 and 31 December 2004.

• Relaxation: Age relaxation is provided for reserved category candidates as per government norms.

Selection Process

The SBI CBO selection process consists of three stages:

1. Online Examination

   • Objective Test: 120 marks

   • Descriptive Test: 50 marks (30 minutes, includes letter writing and essay in English)

2. Screening & Interview

3. Final Selection: Based on total marks and cut-off set by SBI

Candidates are evaluated rigorously to ensure selection of competent and talented officers for the bank.

• General, OBC & EWS: ₹750

• SC, ST & PwD: No fee

• Payment Mode: Debit card, credit card, or net banking. Additional online transaction charges, if any, must be borne by the candidate.
