Misusing the name of actor Jr NTRcan now land one in trouble. The Delhi High Court has taken strong action against the misuse of actor Jr NTR’s name, identity, and images.

If you think that using a star’s name, photo, or identity without permission is no big deal, then you should think again, especially when it comes to Jr NTR. The Delhi High Court has ruled on this matter and made it clear that using Junior NTR’s name, picture, or identity without authorisation can now lead to legal proceedings.

South Indian superstar Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, aka Jr NTR, has received significant relief from the court. The High Court has clearly declared that the unauthorised use of his name, identity, or pictures, especially for saleable purposes, will no longer be tolerated. With this decision, the court has fully protected Jr NTR’s personality and publicity rights.

In fact, Jr NTR himself approached the court. In the petition, he explained how his name and identity were being misused illegally on different digital platforms. The court took this matter seriously and acknowledged that NTR is not just an individual, but a conventional celebrity brand, and he has complete rights over that brand.

The court made clear that using names like “NTR”, “Jr NTR”, “Young Tiger”, “Man of Masses”, “Tarak”, his pictures, voice, look, or any other recognisable characteristic without permission will be considered a legal offence. Instructions have also been given to immediately remove all such content.

Furthermore, the court stated that personality and publicity rights are part of a person’s life and liberty, which are protected under the Constitution. Copyright and trademark laws will also apply in such cases.

Digital platforms have also been warned to take timely action against such content. Even unknown individuals, trolls, or those misusing his identity through AI and morphed images have been included under this prohibition.

In simple terms, a star’s identity is no longer something to be taken lightly. In the digital age, if anyone tampers with Jr NTR’s identity, they may have to pay a heavy price.
