Finally, some good news! Aryan Khan is relieved from the suit that was filed against him by Sameer Wankhede for Ba***ds of Bollywood. The Delhi High Court has dismissed the suit.
In fact, Sameer Wankhede had filed a case against Aryan Khan’s Netflix series ‘Ba***ds of Bollywood,’ which, according to Sameer, contained scenes he wanted removed. When the court understood the entire matter, they proceeded with the case accordingly, first hearing Sameer’s arguments and then reserving their judgment. However, he was granted interim relief. And Sameer stated that SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment should remove some scenes.
The former NCB officer, Sameer Wankhede, also claimed that certain parts of the show were not only defamatory but also attempted to tarnish his image and reputation. Specifically, in Episode 1, between 32:02 and 33:50, he claims that the character resembles him, which is why he filed the case.

“Ba***ds of Bollywood” was Aryan Khan’s directorial debut series, which he also wrote and directed. Bollywood, the industry, and the audience loved the show and applauded it.
There’s also a past between Sameer and Aryan; Sameer, when he was an NCB officer, arrested Khan in 2021 during an NCB raid on a cruise ship. However, he was later released.
Regarding the appeal, both Red Chillies and Netflix opposed it, arguing that the High Court had no jurisdiction in the matter. Then, senior advocates Neeraj Kishan Kaul and Rajiv Nayyar suggested filing the suit in Mumbai because both Netflix and Red Chillies are based in Mumbai. The lawyers also stated that the scene does not depict the Cordelia Cruise raid, but is simply a normal scene that was necessary for the series. And just because Aryan and Sameer have a past relationship doesn’t mean he would want to tarnish his reputation.
Sameer’s lawyer, Jai Sai Deepak, claimed that all these events have damaged his client’s reputation and also affected hiswealth, and requested that the case be heard in Delhi. The lawyer also stated that several media portals and audiences have believed that the character being discussed is based on Sameer, which is incorrect.
