The official trailer of Netflix’s popular Punjabi-language investigative crime drama **Kohra Season 2** released on January 29, 2026, promises a more complex, layered murder mystery set in the foggy environment of rural Punjab.

**Barun Sobti** returns to his role as Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal “Garundi” Jasjeet Singh, who has now been transferred to Dalerpura and wants to make a fresh start. He teams up with a new commanding officer, Sub-Inspector **Dhanwant Kaur** (played by **Mona Singh**) to investigate the murder of a woman who was found dead in her brother’s barn. The case unfolds a web of multiple suspects, ulterior motives and emotional conflicts, with **Ranvijay Singha** adding more suspense to the story as the husband of the deceased. Other cast members include Pooja Bhamarra, Anurag Arora and Prerak Mehta in lead roles.

The trailer shows Garundi’s inner, cautious transformation as he grapples with his inner demons and a past that refuses to leave him. Sobti shared: “Garundi starts this season with the hope of a fresh start, but in a foggy world, the past never leaves you. This time the mystery is darker and more layered, and this complexity is reflected in Garundi’s own journey. He is more introspective, more cautious, and is constantly coming to terms with his decisions. Season 2 challenged me as an actor in new ways.”

Mona Singh said: “Stepping into the world of Kohra was both exciting and scary because it is so thoughtfully written. Dhanwant is a woman of few words, but very strong-willed. She grapples with loss, responsibility and a constant need to prove herself – often without saying much.”

Produced by Film Squad Productions in association with Act Three, the series is produced by Saurabh Malhotra, Sudeep Sharma, Manuj Mitra and Tina Tharwani. Directed by Sudeep Sharma and Faisal Rehman, **Fog Season 2** will premiere exclusively on Netflix on **February 11, 2026**.

Building on the success of Season 1 (which starred Suvinder Vicky alongside Sobti), the series focuses on a new case, while deepening the characters’ stories in the atmospheric, tense atmosphere of Punjab.
