Great news for job seekers in Himachal Pradesh! The state has announced over 230 job openings. Candidates interested in applying can do so via the official website.

The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HPRCA) has revealed recruitment for 234 positions of Junior Office Assistant (IT). The application process is currently open and will remain so until February 27th.

The recruitment notice was published by the commission on January 21, 2026, on its official platform. Applications commenced on January 27, 2026, and will close on February 27, 2026.

To be eligible, applicants must have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board or institution. Those who have obtained a 1 or 2-year diploma or certificate in IT or ITES post-matriculation are also qualified to apply.

Candidates with a three-year diploma in Computer Science or IT from an AICTE-approved polytechnic are eligible as well. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.

The age requirement for applicants ranges from a minimum of 18 years to a maximum of 45 years, as of January 1, 2026. There is a provision for a 5-year age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, PwD candidates, Himachal Pradesh government employees, and ex-servicemen.

The selection process will occur in two phases. The first phase involves a computer-based written examination comprising 120 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark, with a total duration of one and a half hours. Following the written exam, a typing test will be conducted, which is mandatory but only qualifying; the results will not contribute to the final score. Selected candidates will start with a monthly salary of ₹12,500. The application fee is set at ₹800, which includes a ₹100 examination fee and a ₹700 processing fee.
